Hoosier Environmental Council
The Hoosier Environmental Council is committed to a variety of environmental causes within Indiana. These range from sustainable energy to forest protection and environmental justice. The organization focuses specifically on Lake County within "the region" and Marion County, which contains Indianapolis and sections of the White River. Muncie White River Clean-Up
The Muncie-Delaware Clean & Beautiful organization is committed to "empower and promote stewardship of clean streets, beautiful neighborhoods, and a healthy river". The organization hoses an annual White River Cleanup that has been responsible for removing an estimated 130,300 pounds of trash and debris from the White River. Friends of the White River
Friends of the White River advocates for a clean and healthy ecosystem within the White River. The organization attempts to do this through education and collaboration with communities surrounding the White River. Their current projects include increased access to the river, restocking fish populations, and various education programs. You can donate to the organization here.
